As I pause and take a breath between chores, I wonder why am I always rushing? As women, we are always rushing to get laundry done, bills paid, house cleaned, groceries, errands, and so much more! But why? We are called to do everything with JOY as everything we do should be for the Lord.
Often, our focus is the accomplishing the task at hand, rather than the process in which we need to enjoy as we get it done. I challenge you to stop, take a big long breath and look around you to notice, the world did not stop turning because you took a breath! LOL If you have little ones you will need this more than most but will find it the most challenging to actually get done. But like Nike promotes: "Just Do It!" Take a few minutes to read to your child, color with them, enjoy a Faith Art Journaling Lesson, work on a puzzle (Even if you never finish it), and find away to make time to spend together. TIME is something you can never get back once it is gone; but, you can make the most of it from today forward. Praise the Lord for your blessings as you complete your chores. (Clothes to wash, houses to clean, children to care for). Prioritize your time and let go of the menial details that consume you that are not genuinely important. Instead, take pleasure in serving the Lord in every aspect of your life.
Remember: Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Treasure seeking involves the true eternal treasure that can only be found through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Too often we are short sighted and seek only earthly treasures that provide temporary gratification rather than laying up our treasures in Heaven that will never disappoint us, rust, break, or be stolen.
Tip: to make treasure coins to decorate your art journaling page, place double sided adhesive on a small piece of paper, apply foil to it and then use a circle punch to create a shiny treasure coin!
