Are you truly Present? What is the true definition of being present and what is the "Present" of God's Presence? The Holy Spirit is a free gift to us but was paid by the blood of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. All we have to do is accept it and we can experience the comfort and guidance that only He can provide. Often we are indecisive or need comfort in times of chaos and the Holy Spirit is able to provide all that and so much more.
At the same time, we should consider our own presence in our everyday lives and that of our loved ones around us. How often our we truly listening and present both physically and emotionally. So often, we are distracted by the worries of the world that when someone is trying to speak to us our minds are everywhere but present. Be it checking emails, text messages, social media or the barking of a dog, we are constantly distracted. Our attention is being pulled by the world in every direction other than up.
I challenge you today to be more present. Turn off you phone and turn off the distractions of the world and truly be present with the Lord and with those around you. My family has made a commitment at dinner time to be present. No phones and a conscious attempt to ignore all outer distractions other than the table conversations of our family. Find your strategy and routine today to be more present in your daily live and enjoy the "present' of God's presence.
A wonderful way of remembering this present is to draw a gift box with a dove flying out of it as a gift given by God. The Holy Spirit is represented in may ways in the Bible, a dove, wind, fire, clouds, and more. Find your representation and reflect upon how God is present in your life and be sure to share this present with everyone around you this Christmas season.

Treasure seeking involves the true eternal treasure that can only be found through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Too often we are short sighted and seek only earthly treasures that provide temporary gratification rather than laying up our treasures in Heaven that will never disappoint us, rust, break, or be stolen.
Tip: to make treasure coins to decorate your art journaling page, place double sided adhesive on a small piece of paper, apply foil to it and then use a circle punch to create a shiny treasure coin!
