Many people are walking through life on complete autopilot. Get up, get dressed, get children ready, drive them to school, go to work, pick them up from school, etc. etc. Do you find yourself saying, "Oh, I can't wait for the weekend." or "We will have time when the kids are older.", even "Gosh, I can't wait for this month to be over!" You're wishing your life away! The monotony of every day has made us numb. We are numb to our children, our spouses, our lives.
!!!WAKE UP!!!
If you are stuck in this rut, contemplate for a moment about what is driving your life. Is it to become more successful at work? To make more money? To have the fanciest house on the block? If these are your goals and they haven't come to fruition, maybe you need to shift your focus.
God has given us the tremendous gift of life on a beautiful planet and joy is all around you. Do you ever just stop and as your dressing your children for school, ask them how they are? What they think their day will be like? While your driving to work, have you ever looked at the beautiful morning sky and say, "Thank you, Lord for this beauty."
What is driving your life? What are the road signs in your life that you follow? Have you ever ask God for guidance?
A perfect way to reflect on these questions is to journal them. Take a few moments during your hectic day and ask yourself.... what is driving me to do this? What is the lesson to be learned? Do I need to change direction? or back up?

Treasure seeking involves the true eternal treasure that can only be found through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Too often we are short sighted and seek only earthly treasures that provide temporary gratification rather than laying up our treasures in Heaven that will never disappoint us, rust, break, or be stolen.
Tip: to make treasure coins to decorate your art journaling page, place double sided adhesive on a small piece of paper, apply foil to it and then use a circle punch to create a shiny treasure coin!
