Have you ever been worried about one thing and then find yourself worrying about something else? And then, with a snowball effect before you know it you are 10 steps ahead with other worries wondering how did your mind even get there? My husband once told me,"How did you end up in that rabbit hole?", as I shared my flurries of worries one day. That is when it hit me-what was I doing? Why was I allowing myself to get caught up in a multitude of worries that I had no control over? Reminding myself that I am the captain of my own thoughts and my worst obstacle. In response, I decided to submit my worries to God as I reflected upon past circumstances in which He has carried me through.
In Luke 12:29 KJV, God tells us: "And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind."
Human nature and society entice us to doubtfully question God, but it is a decision we can alter by focusing on our faith. Acknowledge that God is in control and give Him your worries today and everyday. Save your energy for prayer and gratitude rather than exhausting them on all the what ifs and maybes.
Instead of counting your worries, count your blessings. Tonight‘s challenge-give God your flurries of hours before bed,; remember he is awake all night anyways! Lol :)
