We can all agree that when it comes to art journaling, we hate the blank page, right? Prepping art journal backgrounds offers inspiration on days when you want to work on something, but your inspiration is off getting a latte. Yet I often find that prepping a page by just putting something down it isn’t enough. It doesn’t compel me to want to do more. But there are no hard, steadfast rules when it comes to art journaling.
On those days that I am not exactly inspiration-filled, I will browse the internet and get my inspiration from other artists. You can see something cool that you want to try and, trust me, it turns into something all your own! Don't let a blank page intimidate you! Even if you start with a spot of colors or a doodle... or you see something another artist did ... try it out! You will see suddenly your inspiration will come!
Pinterest and Tumbler are an enormous source of wonderful inspiration! Don't misunderstand me, I'm not telling you to copy anyones work. But you make see someones page and they did a cool technique just as using gesso to create texture on a page. Go for it! Try it out! and HAVE FUN!!

INSPIRATION can be found in every situation, be it a positive or a negative one. However, there is no true INSPIRATION that can be compared to the one only found in the hope of Jesus Christ our Savior.
Look around allow yourself to be INSPIRED!
